For over fifteen years, DJ Poska has refined his art and mixes now almost as he breathes. Evenings, mixtapes, radio shows, compilations, production, direction …. the guy excels in all areas of his art.Stung by the virus of hip hop early on, this young Parisian rapidly learned the art and technique of turntablism. His progress was fast and impressive.
During his first stunt in 1996 as a duo with DJ Doze, they finished third at French DMC championship.DJ Poska has forever solidified himself into the history of French hip hop as being among the pioneers of the Mixtape movement.
His mix tapes, freestyles, remixes, contain his signature style showcased on his very first commercially successful project, What’s The Flavor: His unique style seamlessly combines the pulse of French hip hop and the latest and hottest Hip Hop straight from the streets of NY and LA.Domestically, these “tapes” showcase the cream of French rap and highlight the best freestyles in the anthology of French Hip Hop i.e. Diam’s, Sniper, Oxmo Puccino, Disiz fever, Pit Bacardi, Busta Flex, Time Bomb …The series “What’s The Flavor” exceeds 50 mixtapes (approximately 80) and has even been released officially via Universal in the spring of 1998. It was later released on labels such as Virgin and Sony.
For most DJs, having accomplished all of the above would be satisfiable, but not for him! ” Whats the flavor” is only one of the many projects of Poska; His next endeavor, record label “Funky Maestro”, released several official remixes, soundtracks and well received Hip Hop & RNB albums via Sony France. He has spun and been the host of various major radio shows such as Generations, Skyrock, FG, etc; He has also worked as a tour DJ for several prestigious artists during their tours on the decks i.e. (Oxmo Puccino on 20 dates in France in 1999,and Pit Bacardi for more than 50 dates in the world in 2000 and 2001 …)
DJ Poska has not forgotten the essence of his trade to make people dance and share the music he loves. We greatly appreciate the musicality of his mixes both at the clubs in Paris (Le Palace, La Locomotive, Magnum Club MCM Cafe, Midnight Express, Divan du Monde, Le Cap West, The Globo, The Odyssey, The Mirage, The Tunnel, The Assembly, The Niel’s, The Duplex, Les Bains Douches, The Boardwalk, The Factory, Boer 2, Hammam Club, Monkey Club, The Antares, Le Palacio , The Western Cape, 287, …), and at all the various parties in Metropolitan France.
He has also mixed at parties in the Caribbean, Switzerland, Belgium, Portugal, England year, Côte d’Ivoire, Cameroon, Canada etc; Poska has also spun at numerous festivals and extreme snowboarding events (a medium he particularly likes) such as the Gliss’Expo, Snow Pro at the Stade de France, Quiksilver Cup, Playstation Boarder Tower, La boucherie in Avoriaz, Big Air at Bercy, Arnette evenings and Ethnies , Snowboarding World Championship at Les 2 Alpes, Mix & Fly at Risoul. He has also composed music for Stephane Larance in the famous Transworld videos.
Active as a producer as well, DJ Poska is a workaholic in the studio. You would think that the guy never sleeps. Or very little. He has produced for Major French labels such as Hostile/Delabel, Premiere Classe, Nouvelle Donne. He receives regular requests to craft intros for artist albums or compilations. In the history books, Poska will be known for his “magic touch”, scratches both incisives and precises. To date, Poska has sold more than 1 million copies of What’s the flavor? (Vol. 1, 2 and 3); Une spéciale pour les halls ( 1 and 2,); R’n’B Connection (Vol. 1, 2 and 3); Premiere Classe (1 and 2); R’n’B dancefloor; Flow 2; Hip Hop Legends …) *bio.
DJ Poska is talented and respected not just as a DJ, but for refined ear for great music. In both volumes DVDeejay (during deejaying hip hop on DVD) he offers valuable advice with a bit of humor. Three volumes of DVDeejay have been cited as a reference for up and coming Djs. (For those not wishing to engage in the use of metal wheels, they can enjoy the sounds of Poska on their mobile phones to work as a DJ BlingTones, the provider of hip hop ring tones!)
Since the beginning, Poska has always had plans of disc
overing, developing and bringing new talent to the forefront. After Funky Maestro, DJ teamed up with Cyril (communication expert for the Leisure industry) launched the Bigbroz Recordz label, whose first release is the album of John Gali and The Figure of French Hip Hop Smoker (street lp), Special Province vol 1 (compilation )….
In May 2009, because of a Shin fracture, Poska was stuck in 10 months of rehabilitation.

They began to selling production across Europe for Untapped Management, Inc. (Goodwill & MGI, Hot Trak, Da Benchwarma) based in NYC. (en.wikipedia.org/wiki/GoodWill_%26_MGI).
